Not-So-Pretty In Pink

schnabel.jpg

Extravagant artist, award-winning director and painter Julian Schnabel became a real estate man back in 2005. He purchased land on NYC’s West Village and made it into a Mediterranean style, 50,000-square-foot building with five residences. Completed last September, Palazzo Chupi is a not-so-pretty hot pink residential high rise at 360 West 11th Street… and the neighbors are not happy. I am used to seeing pink that hot in Miami, but nowhere in NYC.

While in NYC, I was able to take a picture of it. You can see the pink accent from far away.

Interested in purchasing one of these residences? Well, a triplex, 4,000 sq. feet penthouse is just $32 million dollars as seen on The New York Times’ real estate sales database.
